Ladies and Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!

Employees at Cwmbran, Wales, U.K. facility were transformed into a race team recently. ArvinMeritor sponsored and offered technical assistance for Cardiff University’s entry in the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ (IMechE) and the Society of Automotive Engineers’ (SAE) UK Formula Student 2007 competition. The race car seen in this picture was zooming around the track in the endurance event, until it developed an engine problem. The program revs up the students’ interest in engineering. The company also uses the interaction to help select summer interns and work program candidates.
