Carsten Reinhardt is the senior vice president and chief operating officer of ArvinMeritor, Inc. In this position, Reinhardt is responsible for the overall global management of ArvinMeritor's Commercial Truck, Industrial, and Aftermarket & Trailer business segments.

Reinhardt joined the company in September 2006 as senior vice president and president of the company’s Commercial Vehicle Systems business group. Prior to that role, he was the president and CEO of Detroit Diesel Corp. (DDC), a subsidiary of Daimler AG, since joining the company in March 2003. Prior to that, Reinhardt served as vice president and general manager of operations for Western Star Trucks. He began his career with Daimler’s European truck division in 1993.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences in Germany, and a Master of Science in automotive engineering from the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom.
