Tom Gosnell is senior vice president of ArvinMeritor, Inc. and president of the company’s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) business group. In this position, Gosnell is responsible for the overall strategic management of the company’s global commercial vehicle components and customer-focused services — both for OE production and the aftermarket. The product portfolio and markets include drivetrain and braking components and systems, as well as air and emissions technologies, for truck, trailer, bus and coach, and specialty vehicle applications.

Gosnell joined the organization in 1979 as purchasing manager for the company’s former Winchester, Ky., plant. Before taking a leadership position in Meritor’s aftermarket business in 1984, he held several management positions of increasing responsibility.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and a master’s degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is a member of the Manufacturers Alliance for Product Innovation (MAPI) and a Board member of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association.
